Our stylish and functional purse, hand made from vintage kimono. It has 4 inside pockets/sections, plus a zippered coin sections and 5 card slots in the main part. The bottom area opens out to give 4 more card slots and another pocket/section.

A harmonious blend of emblems: a multitude of ‘sensu’ fans containing ‘kiri’, ‘kikkuo’ and ‘kiku’ with ‘ume’ blossoms and ‘momiji’, maple leaves. Other motifs include ‘matsu’, the pine, a hardy plant that symbolises strength and long life, ‘ryuusu’ wandering stream, repeating ‘seigaiha’ pattern, called ‘blue waves’.  The pattern is printed on a rinzu silk kimono: a kind of damask silk which has motifs woven into it’s surface, for extra lustre and texture.

This vintage kimono was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan.  It is approximately 20-30 years old.
