Hibi Kimono Purse 2834L


Our stylish and functional purse, hand made from vintage kimono. It has 4 inside pockets/sections, plus a zippered coin sections and 5 card slots in the main part. The bottom area opens out to give 4 more card slots and another pocket/section.

A beautiful blend of emblems: a multitude of ‘sensu’ fans containing ‘tsubaki’, ‘choucho’ and ‘kiku’ with ‘ume’ blossoms and ‘momiji’, maple leaves. Other motifs include ‘sakura’ blossom, repeating patterns of 'sayagata' the Buddhist swastika symbol, 'karakasu' swirling grasses, and ‘seigaiha’ pattern, called ‘blue waves’. 

The green and gold are metallic shades which give extra lustre and texture.

This vintage kimono was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan.  It is approximately 20-30 years old.
