Fukuro Obi Clutch 2687B


Our signature clutch, hand made from vintage 'obi': the sash worn with kimono at formal occasions.

Bold, bright Ran, adorn this obi. Ran, or Cattleya are orchids, and symbolise union in Japan.  In the background sits a 'bishi' diamond.

It is woven with two tones of pink, and gold and silver threads. This obi is woven using the Nishijin technique that was developed in an area of Kyoto around 1200 years ago.

This vintage Fukuro Obi was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan.  It is approximately 40 years old, and in excellent condition.
